This is a beginner-level class designed for new and intermediate gardeners who want to grow their own fruits, vegetables, and herbs close to home. Attendees will learn how to start growing produce organically, in spaces big and small. You’ll learn the basics of: selecting the right location for your vegetable garden, creating a basic landscape sketch for your garden, where to source products like soil, how to make a simple planting plan that will set you up for success and support you throughout the season, and more.

In this Demo Chef L. Fernando Mojica, CEC and Chef Beth Hines, CSC will show you a quick and easy way to prepare a tasty Butternut Squash Soup. Then taking that soup as a base, Chefs Mojica and Hines will show you quick and easy ways, utilizing only one or two easy-to-find ingredients, to turn that soup into four different meals. Cook once, eat 5 meals.
